Rebuilding the Company after Partition

The devastating Partition compelled them to relocate to West Pakistan. Undeterred, Sheikh Muhammad Saleem and Hafeez Begum displayed remarkable resilience as they painstakingly rebuilt the company, establishing its first office in Kanda Gali, Jodia Bazaar, Karachi.

1980s

Souvenir expansion in kasur

With a strategic vision for growth, the company ventured into new territory by launching its inaugural branch in Kasur. Exploiting the thriving leather and textile manufacturing industry in Punjab, the company capitalized on this hub to expand its business.

1990s

expansion in sialkot

Following the triumph of the Kasur branch, Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed pioneered the inauguration of a second branch in Sialkot. This marked further progress and success for the company.

Continuously evolving and with the inclusion of the third generation, the company experienced a surge in manpower. The Souvenir Group flourished and thrived across all three cities, solidifying its position as an influential player in the industry.

Commitment to Social Resposibility

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to social responsibility, the company embarked on philanthropic initiatives. As a testament to this dedication, an Islamic Schooling system was established, catering to underprivileged students in PECHS, Karachi. Furthermore, the Shareef and Fatimah Free Medical Clinic and Dispensary underwent significant expansion and renovation, incorporating a state-of-the-art Testing Laboratory Plus Ultrasound Facility.

History and Timeline till present

Our very beloved founders Sheikh Muhammad Saleem (Late) and Hafeez Begum (Late), laid the foundation for Souvenir Group in the 1960s at Chittagong i.e. East Pakistan and then established this business in Jodia Bazaar Karachi, after partition, from very humble beginnings. The empire we see today was built with immense dedication and perseverance with the help of their equally talented sons Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed (Late) and Sheikh Zaheer Ahmed.

We are here today because of the dream of our founders. Their values then, define ours today still. The heightened sense of devotion, hard work and sacrifice along with Honesty and no compromise on ethical and morals principles lead them to actualize the dream that went far beyond their humble beginnings, and paved the way for US in becoming the professionally run, well reputed and successful business organization that we are today. Our ancestors shall remain alive in our hearts and memories forever and we shall be grateful to them forever for everything they did.

Our founders would have been rather proud to see now, that upholding their legacy are their son Sheikh Zaheer Ahmed and grandchildren Sheikh Sarfaraz Ahmed, Sheikh Abrar Ahmed, Sheikh Israr Ahmed and Aisha Sultana Sheikh.

Souvenir Trading Company and Hafeez Trading Company operating as Souvenir Group work in complete harmony, with the third generation in business, while the fourth trains to join. There is a constant endeavor to maintain and expand the souvenir that our founders left behind.
